Onlangs verscheen in Neurology de grootste prospectieve multicenterstudie op het gebied van neuromodulatie tot nu toe. Na een follow-up van negen jaar bleek hersenresponsieve neurostimulatie te resulteren in een significante afname van de focale aanvalsfrequentie en een acceptabele veiligheidsprofiel te hebben.
