G-POEM versus botoxinjectie voor de behandeling van refractaire gastroparese

In een RCT van Gonzalez en collega’s leek perorale endoscopische myotomie klinisch succesvoller dan injecties met botulinetoxine in de pylorus bij refractaire gastroparese. Hoewel de verschillen niet statistisch significant waren, bevestigt de studie dat zowel mechanische als chemische behandelingen gericht op de pylorus effectief lijken bij refractaire gastroparese.
